The time has finally come for me to attend the Army most difficult and intense combat school. Assuming you go through it without recycling, its 62-days of sleep deprivation, controlled starvation, and physical exertion while learning combat tactics and leadership.

The truth of the matter is, I will either be back in 2-days or 2-months. As long as I don’t get jacked during the PT test by a Ranger Instructor I should have no problem making it through RAP week (ranger assessment phase), which is a 3, 20-hour days of getting smoked.

I will be completely off-line with out access to phone, internet, or e-mail. My only form of communication will be snail-mail:

After taking a couple months off from shooting, I was able to dust my gear off and do a family photo shoot for a friend. It was a nice way to meet his wife, Andrea, and beautiful little girl Ginny. Although the time we chose was incredibly hot (around 100 degrees and humid) and the sun was a little to harsh for my lighting tastes, we were able to get some wonderful shots. I think we will actually set up another shoot – sometime during a morning where the light can be a little softer and the heat not so stifling to get a few more whole family shots.
