Carl Sanford Photography

I am a Grand Rapids area photographer who got his start in photography over 12-years ago while living in Japan.  Starting with film and then transitioning into digital, I truly love exploring this craft and expressing myself through the lens of a camera.

I enjoy almost all genres of photography, especially travel, macro, landscape, nature, and portraiture.  On a professional level I have done wedding, portraits, product, and corporate event photography.

When not spending time with my wife and two beautiful girls, I enjoy kitesurfing, camping, cycling, and reading.  I recently enlisted in the United States Army as an officer candidate.

I currently serve in the United States Army as a Second Lieutenant in the Infantry, stationed at Ft. Benning, GA.  After completing my training here, I will be assigned to the 3rd Brigade of the 82nd Airborne Division at Ft. Bragg, NC.
